I would meet my friend Nikki at the dog park and piano lessons for my daughter Laura lou.

Friday...

V.I.P. day. My husband and I would take turns taking our kiddos out on dates. We need to pick up on that again. We all miss it!

Saturday...

I am from the Olden Days

So I must admit between Rehearsals for "Broadway Review" that my church is doing, trying to keep up on my house and my family and my garden, family in town and going out of town and just life!, I haven't been good about blogging.

Thus, catch up time!!

A funny thing happened, our monitor died. Why it is funny because my husband had to dig out our original IBM monitor from 1997 and it still works!

My children were complaining about life with out the computer,

how there is nothing to do, or nothing is fun.

My six year old, Preston, was the biggest complainer

because he was concerned he could not check his email.

Hmmmmm, is something wrong with that?

I then to proceed to tell them that we did not have a computer when I was a child. We went out and played and built forts and kept ourselves entertained. Heck, we didn't have cable, or satellite, or even VHS!

Preston piped up, clearly still upset, "Well, that was in the olden days!"

Parley then added, "Well we can't build a fort because I can't use the drill!"

When and How did this happen?

I am from the the olden days!

Summer Designs

In my packet I received fun red, white and blue paper!

I love making banners.

I have been making them for two years now.

So I finally made one for my project!

Here is one close up.

One of my dear friends and I went to the park one day

and had a fun photo shoot with her two girls and Preston.

I loved this outdoor summer paper!

I have these little airplane game pieces I picked up, and added one into the sky sending

Nathan a birthday greeting!

His birthday isn't until November, so I need to keep it on the low down!

It seemed to stay gray and cool for so long I was ready to go where the sunshine was!

Thus my card. I used a drink umbrella. I love texture and depth!

My freedom card. I sewed four pieces of paper together, then tore each middle out at varying thicknesses. I used glossy accents on "Freedom" but used the heat gun to achieve a bubbly, raised texture.

My April designs for Scrap-n-Book...

I was given adorable Teresa Collins BeBe Boy paper.

A cute baby sign!

On the Baby, I used paper out of an older nursery rhyme book and then embellished with the Teresa Collins paper and paper ribbon.,

Baby Announcement. Again, Teresa Collins.

Here is my book I did about "Me Turning 35"

I took over sized playing cards,

covered with paper,

and added them any which way to make my book.

A self portrait of the "nutty" queen!

I threw a Princess party for me complete with crowns and fancy cupcake rings!

Although is was all the BeBe Boy paper, I used it in my book! I love blue!

But here I used it for one of my boys...
